I will not be updating this blog as often as i am concentrating on the several projects and one of which is a wordpress blog.

Yes a wordpress blog, you read it correctly. it was a blog which i ignore for pretty long as i could not have find a topic to write about and i decided to have it written about my internet marketing life.

I have mentioned the difficulty in implementing the layout in my previous post. Yes it is still hard to have a beautiful design, but i am still learning wordpress. And yes, no worries, i still hate the wordpress layout

And i have decided to ditch design for functionalities, which as stated in my 1st post in may, wordpress have more functionalities. That one of the prime reason i move to wordpress

How to Setup Up RSS and Atom Feeds on Feedburner Guide

This is another post to guide you to setup your "roots" for your blogs. With all the basics setup, your blog will be ready to be launched and attract visitors.

I am very surprised that some of blogs, including some of the so-called "seo guru" blogs that teach you to make money and gain traffic, do not have rss feed.

Is RSS important? YES! It definitely is!

Now what is RSS feed, you may ask. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary"

Do not understand? In laymen terms, this means with for blogs with RSS feeds, you "feed" your readers your latest news and posts automatically.

Your precious readers do not have to come down personally to your site everyday to check if its update. With RSS feeds and reader, they will receive your new post automatically.

How do we set up RSS feeds for our visitors? Is it hard? Nope, It's only a few Really Simple Steps~

Since google have provided everything for us, I shall use Feedburner as an example.

Go to www.feedburner.com, and login using your google account. This is needed in order to setup your atom feed.

Go create one google account immediately if you do not have one. It is a must to have a google account if you are doing earning money from the internet.

After login at the main menu, look for "Burn a feed right at this instant"

Do not know the feed address? No worries, enter in your blog address and they will attempt to detect the feed

At the next page, select "Atom Feed" if not select "RSS"

Atom Feeds?

Atom Feed is another format similar to RSS and was supposed to take over RSS, since RSS had certain limitations. However with RSS 2.0, some of the limitations had been solved and is still widely used.

As of now, most readers support both RSS and Atom formats.

At this final step, select the feed title which will be used in your feed burner account to track your stats.

And most importantly, your feed address. Ensure that this feed address does not change!

**By changing your feed address, all your subscribers will be gone! Thus ensure that at no times the feed address is changed.

Click on next and Congratulation, your RSS and Atom feed is setup and its not over yet!

It is not time to direct and your blogging platform's to your feed.

If you are using blogger, go to "settings" and "SiteFeed"

Key in the full feed address into "Post Feed Redirect URL"

For Money for WeBloggers, the RSS Feed Redirect URL is "http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Money4WeBloggers"

Remember to save settings and that all for setting up RSS and Atom Feeds using Feedburner.
